A'hoy you scurvy dogs, I'm Bluey, of SV Combyu.

I sailed  as a young fella until I left my hometown in the Riverland. I was born in July 1963 & have lived in Darwin since 1984. Married the first mate in 1992. I decided to follow a dream that I always wanted to sail around Australia, maybe just the top part in the warmer waters. People tell me I talk a lot & can talk the leg off a chair.

I am calm till my red head mate rolls up every now and then. Don't worry if you don't know me yet, you soon will..Hope to met up with you all in our travels and have a beer together. Cheers until we meet again. As the song goes;

A'hoy I'm Debbie or Burttie, I'm first mate on board, known also as the wife. We have two children together Elle & Ryan. I was born in Feb 1967, Aquarian by nature & a gypsy by heart. I have lived in Darwin since 1988 and still here.

I have never sailed the open oceans, only since boarding SV Combyu have I started to learn the terminology of  ropes as sheets OMG & how to sail. 

I normally work from behind the camera trying to keep our Social media content going. Hope to met up someday for a wine or two, as I wont get a word in if Bluey is there..Come on our journey for a new way of life and challenges it brings us..
